【Followed by English】

What my mom said when I told her that I was raped?

My mother has shown me love, affection, and raised me with lots of her attention.

When I turned 20 years old, we were still very close to each other. We were like best friends, often hanging out with each other.

That is why I thought she would accept me if I told her I was raped. In fact, she did not.

“I would feel so ashamed if our  neighbors know about that.”

“Don’t tell anybody that you were raped” she said.

I never expected her to say these, I was deeply hurt inside.

Since then, I’ve been feeling really conflicted. Because I love her for raising me, but at the same time I hate her because she couldn’t understand my feelings or see things from my perspective.

If she told me:

“It’s not your fault.”

“Thank you for telling me.”,

I might be living positively now?

It has been 4 years and I still do not seem to have the answer to it yet.
